Tuticorin (TN), Oct 31: Leading copper producer Sterlite Industries (I) Ltd, a subsidiary of London based Vedanta Resources, has bagged the 'International Star Award' for quality.
The award was presented to the Tuticorin based company by Jose E Prieto, President and Chief Executive Officer of BID, Spain, to G S Govindaraj, Head, Business Excellence, Sterlite Industries during BID International Quality Convention Geneva-2009 recently, company sources said here today.
The jury for the award comprised experienced professionals of the business world, specializing in quality and excellence, they said.
